Our Vision

On behalf of the members of the Board of Directors of The Bengal Secretariat Co-operative Society Ltd., Writers’ Building, Kolkata, we have immense pleasure to inform our members, both former and present of launching out of our Society’s Website during the course of our glorious CENTENARY. We also take pleasure to inform this news to all concerned Departments of the Govt. of West Bengal, including the Deptt. of Co-operation, to the office of the Co-operative Auditors, to the offices of the J.R.C.S, D.R.C.S, and the A.R.C.S, Kolkata and also the employees of the society, as, it was not possible for us to attain this episode of glorious Centenary after a long journey of 100years, if we would not have all sorts of help, assistance and co-operation in every step of this long journey whenever needed from their end.At this glorious and joyous moment we first recollect with humble submission and regards, Late Narenda Nath Chatterjee, Esqr, the Founder of The Bengal Secretariat Co-operative Society Ltd., who, in the year 1919, when the undivided Bengal was under the British Rule, was the Hon’ble Deputy Secretary to the undivided Bengal province, and from that Chair of gravity, he thought for the Govt. employees for their self financial independence. For such of his great effort, we bow down in submission.Never we claim any proficiency or credit for such of huge growth, prosperity and stability of today’s Society. We convey our gratitude to our former Board Member who helped us in different means passing their valued advices. We are grateful to each of our Honored Members who are truly the Gems in forming such a precious ornament like this Society in its glorious Centenary keeping on us their utmost confidence and absolute trust. We are thankful to our beloved employees of the society, who with their tireless and sincere daily activities, have been trying to uphold the fame of the Society as an example of paramount to others. We convey our thanks to all our Bankers we deal with, and specially to the staff and officers of Punjab National Bank Lyons Range Branch,Kolkata and The West Bengal State C-operative Bank Ltd.,Kolkata Main Branch, for their valued services rendered to us all the time. And finally, we convey our thanks and gratefulness to Synergic Softek Solutions Pvt.Ltd., who since 20016-07 has been rendering their best services in the field of computerization of the Society. With their utmost help and co-operation, the Society has introduced Centralized Banking System, through which, the day-to-day work of the main office of the Society at Writers Building will run simultaneously to the day-to-day work of its Salt Lake Office. The launching of the Website of the Society is their latest offering for us. Through this Website, the Society’s multi-various programmes of activities for its members will be widen, the updated information about our Holiday homes, and above all, apart from our routine activities, our remarkable role in the Social Welfare Activities. We are eagerly looking for that day, very shortly to come, when the members can view their Respective Personal Accounts Details with the Society by logging into their Individual Account Portal through their own password. Besides SMS system is going to be introduced very shortly, by which members will be alerted and intimated as soon as their respective transactions are done.

Commencing its journey in a fine morning on 8th March 1919, The Bengal Secretariat Co-operative Society Ltd. is now at the mile-stone of the Centenary Year. On 8th March 2019 it will complete its Centenary and will start for a new course of journey with lot of new, progressive and dynamic thinking expectation and achievement.

With the help and assistance of our former members a SAPLING that was inseminated 100 years ago, has grown up today to a GREAT PLANT in Centenary together with its members in different times, glorifying itself as also to all of us whoa are associated with it, and with the high hope of seeing it at the highest peak of success, we dedicate this Society to you all.
