Area of Membership

The area of membership of the society shall be confined to the employees posted in the offices of Govt.of West Bengal, Public Service Commission, office of the DLRS, and West Bengal Legislative Assembly Secretariat located within the Municipal limits of Kolkata Corporation, Bidhan Nagar Municipality, Districts of Howrah and North 24 Parganas and the office of the Society.

Conditions of Membership

  • Every individual person other than State Government and Nominal Members admitted to membership shall –
    • pay an admission fee of Rs.5 (rupees 5) only
    • hold at least 10 (ten) shares.

 

  • Every person shall name a place to register his address. Such address shall for all purpose be deemed to be his residence.

 

  • No person shall be admitted to membership of this Society if he is a member of or is indebted to any other such society until he has obtained in writing the consent of the society of which he is already a member.

 

  • No person shall be member of the society if he is a money lender by profession.

 

  • When any association or body of persons is admitted as a member of the society, it shall appoint any one of its directors or officers, by an instrument in writing, to exercise its rights and perform its duties in relation to the society.

Share

The Authorized Share Capital of the Society is Rs 12,00,00,000/-(Rupees twelve crores) only (to come into effect from 01.06.2019 as per complete amendment of the Bye-Laws in 2019). The subscribed  and paid up value of each share is Rs.8/- for the member.At the time of enrollment as a member, a member shall subscribe for 10 nos. of shares @ Rs.8/- each.

No member shall hold more than 10% of total loan amount (except Utsav Advance) he/she is granted as share or Rs.36,000/- (4500 nos. of share) whichever is less. 

CCS Fund(Thrift Fund)

Every member shall contribute to this Fund at Rs.350/-per month (with effect from July’19 i.e. recoverable from salary for June’19 – as per complete amendment of the Bye-Laws). The rate of interest for this Fund is 5.75%p.a (cumulative).

At the time of enrollment as a member he/she shall contribute one month’s contribution to the Fund ,as the first contribution.
